A homepage is not a brochure. It is a sequence of small decisions: am I in the right place, can this person help me, do I believe them, what happens next.
The order that works
- Hero: who you help and the outcome, in plain words, with one primary action
- Proof: numbers, named work or recognisable logos, immediately after the claim
- Who it is for: let the wrong visitor leave and the right one feel seen
- How you help: outcomes first, delivery detail second
- Case studies: challenge, solution, measurable impact
- Objections and FAQ: price range, timeline, ownership, process
- Final call to action: one action, repeated, with no new information
Write for the decision, not the feature
Replace 'custom software development' with the result it produces. A visitor is not buying technology, they are buying fewer bottlenecks, more capacity or faster launches.
Measure three things
- Scroll depth to the first proof block
- Click-through on the primary action
- Quality of the enquiries you receive, not just the quantity
