More in Automation
Automation projects fail when they start with the most complicated process in the business. Start with the ones that are frequent, rule-based and already annoying everyone.
1. Lead response
Speed to first reply predicts conversion more reliably than almost anything else you can control. An instant acknowledgement, qualification questions and a booking link remove the delay entirely.
2. Invoicing and payment chasing
Issue, remind, escalate and reconcile without anyone remembering to. This one usually pays for the whole automation programme in recovered cash-flow time.
3. Client onboarding
Contract, payment, intake form, account creation and kickoff scheduling belong in one chain triggered by a single event, not five people copying details between tools.
4. Reporting
If someone rebuilds the same spreadsheet every month, that is a scheduled job waiting to be written. Pull the data, calculate, render, send.
5. Data entry between systems
Every manual copy between CRM, accounting and delivery tools is a future data-quality incident. Sync once, in one direction, with a clear source of truth.
Map the process before you automate it. Automating a broken process just makes the mess arrive faster.
